Depression

You do not have to find the energy for everything before seeking support.

Understanding your experience

Depression can feel like sadness, numbness, irritability, or a growing distance from people and activities you once cared about. Even small tasks may take more effort. In therapy, we can start with where you are today, without expecting you to explain everything or arrive feeling motivated.

Build a way forward in manageable steps.

We talk about what has changed, what feels most difficult, and what support is available. Together, we identify small actions that reconnect you with care, structure, or meaningful activity while making room for deeper emotional work.

My approach considers relationships and cultural context alongside thoughts and behavior. Expectations to be grateful, strong, or successful can make it harder to ask for help; those expectations are welcome in our conversations too.

We review how you are doing over time. If additional support or medical evaluation would be helpful, we can discuss coordinating care with your permission.
